Chapin's leadership is made up of provider or payor insiders with experience in claim adjudication, managed care collections, patient financial systems operations, and provider relations and contracting. Below, you can read about the leaders in our growing company.

 

Tim Carda, President, has over twenty-five years of health care experience. His career in health care began as a Critical Care and Operating Room Nurse in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps. In 1981 Mr. Carda began his Hospital administrative career at American Medial International Inc. During his six years at AMI he worked in both the Hospital and Corporate arena. As CEO at Western Medical Center a community 501c Hospital System, Tim led a major reorganization and remained as CEO for ten years until the System was sold to Tenet.

Other CEO positions include Anaheim General Hospital, Tustin Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and Memorial Center of Bakersfield. In 1997 Mr. Carda founded Medibuy Inc. an Internet company focused on Hospital Supply Chain Management. Medibuy raised over $175 million dollars and partnered with two of the largest health care group purchasing corporations in the Country (Health Trust and Premier). In 2002 Medibuy merged with GHX, a consortium owned by GE Medical, Siemens, Johnson and Johnson, Medtronic and numerous other medical product and equipment manufacturers.

He has served as Chairman of the Board of Family MSO (Manager of Your Family Medical Group) Western Medical Center, Medibuy, Nations RX, Medical Recovery Services, Co-founder Behavior Health Concepts (a psychiatric hospital management company) and numerous other Board positions in both private and publicly traded corporations. Mr. Carda holds degrees in both Nursing and Business Administration.

 

 

Tammy Vitte is primarily responsible for Chapin Revenue Cycle Management's audit and recovery projects. She also maintains responsibility for the clinical reviews required for the denial management projects.

During her 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Vitte has held various leadership roles within both provider and payer organizations. 

Vitte began her career in patient financial services and has been responsible for single and multi-hospital system revenue cycle functions. Vitte's payer experience includes the leadership roles of Director of Operations, Manager of Network Management, Utilization Review, and Director of Provider Relations.

Vitte's primary responsibilities for both providers and payers were to ensure monitoring of hospital contracts for compliance and the prompt resolution of payment issues.  She has considerable experience in the areas of hospital collections, billing, case management functions and payer contract modeling.

Vitte maintains a degree as a registered nurse.

 

 

Lori Intravichit is primarily responsible for Chapin Revenue Cycle Management's accounts receivable projects. She is also responsible for the practical reviews required for the denial management projects.

During her 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Lori has held Leadership roles within both Provider and Payer organizations. 

Lori began her career in the Health Insurance/HMO Industry and has spent the last seven years managing revenue cycle functions for up to 47 hospitals. Lori has been specifically involved in legal dispute resolution with both the Payer and Provider.  Lori's experience includes the leadership roles of Director of Operations, Manager of Network Management, Director of Utilization Review, Director of Provider Relations and Director of Payment Resolution.

Lori's primary responsibilities for both providers and payers were to ensure monitoring of hospital contracts for compliance and the prompt resolution of payment issues.  She has considerable experience in the areas of hospital collections, case management functions, payer contract modeling and legal dispute resolution.

Lori holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration.

 

 

Rick Werner is responsible for business development and client relations for Chapin Revenue Cycle Management. Rick brings more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare revenue cycle process. 

Werner's experience includes six years serving as Director of Accounting and Business Office Director for hospitals.  During the last 14 years Werner has held key marketing and customer relations management positions for leading healthcare consulting firms.

Prior to joining Chapin, Werner was the Director of Marketing for AHC Healthcare Receivables Management where he was instrumental in expanding the company's market share in the southeast and to the opening of an office in South Florida

Prior to Werner's experience at AHC, he was the Director of Marketing for GC Services. Werner established a market presence for GC Services in western United States which led to the opening of an office in California.

Werner is active in the Healthcare Financial Management Association and in the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management. 

He holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Bryan College, Dayton, Tennessee.

 

 

Jayson Aguirre is responsible for managing audit and recovery projects, including interpretation and loading of managed contracts into the contract management software, and supervision of the auditing staff.

Prior to joining Chapin, Jayson worked as a Payment Resolution Manager for HCA, Inc. and as a Claims Supervisor for United Healthcare. At HCA he managed payment resolution processes for 22 hospitals, including the managed care reporting functions for underpayment and denial trending. Jayson also managed a staff of 33 in order to ensure compliance in the identification and resolution of overpayments. As a Claims Supervisor with United Healthcare, he was in charge of physician claim processors for three separate markets. Jayson has more than 10 years experience in the healthcare industry.

 

 

David Finkel is responsible for strategic planning and business development at Chapin Revenue Cycle Management. He brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience including CEO positions with several hospitals and multi-hospital systems.

Prior to joining Chapin, Finkel was president and CEO of Signature HomeCare Inc., one of the largest homecare companies in the United States, where he was responsible for strategic planning, business development, acquisitions, financial performance and the ultimate sale of the company to a Fortune 500 NYSE company. Previously he was a principal with Dermatology Partners, Inc. and executive vice president for American Medical International, the world’s second largest hospital management company. Finkel began his career with a "Big Five" firm followed by progressively senior finance roles including controller and CFO.

Finkel holds a master’s degree in health administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo.
